About
Hello, I’m Matthew Raffaele a passionate photographer and advocate who finds joy in capturing the world through my lens and serving others. After graduating from Upper St. Clair High School in 1998, I pursued my love for photography at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh with a focus in Photography, graduating in 2002. Over the years, I’ve developed a unique approach to storytelling, blending technical skill with a deep appreciation for the beauty and resilience of the human spirit.
In 2024, I was honored to receive the Equality Award for my contributions to fostering inclusivity and understanding through both art and service. Which will display my photography in the prestigious Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh, and August Wilson African American Cultural Center
Photography and service are the cornerstones of my life, and I’m driven every day by the belief that art and empathy can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
